First Call for Papers EWCG'08

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• discrete and combinatorial geometry and topology
• design and analysis of geometric algorithms and data structures
• implementation and experimental evaluation of geometric algorithms
• numerical and algebraic issues arising from implementations
• analysis of geometric configurations
• geometric modelling, visualization and simulation
• combinatorial optimization
• computer-aided design and manufacturing
• structural molecular biology
• geographic information systems
• robotics and virtual worlds

Submissions:

We invite submissions of extended abstracts of original research. The submission and final accepted version should be of at most 4 pages and submitted through EasyChair at "http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=EuroCG08" by Monday, January 14, 2008 (midnight GMT). Detailed guidelines for the format of the final version will can be found here. Acceptance notification will be on Monday, January 28 and final version will be due by Monday, February 11, 2008. Accepted extended abstracts will be collected in a booklet which will be distributed among the workshop participants. There will be no other proceedings, so that preliminary work may later be presented in a more complete form at another conference. There will be a 15-20 minutes presentation of each accepted extended abstract during the Workshop. A selection of accepted papers will be invited to a special issue of Computational Geometry, Theory and Applications.
